ABOUT
THE CLUB JMJK
Järfälla Modell Järnvägs Klubb (Järfälla Model Railroad Club) commonly shortened to JMJK has
a club layout in Järfälla, one of the suburbs northwest of Stockholm, Sweden.
The club was founded in 1974 and has been building on an American style layout since 1980.
The layout does not represent a specific area but includes typical scenery and city scenes
one can come across when traveling throughout the United States.
Since the layout is not geografically locked in one location the members can run trains from
anywhere in North America. We also run different time periods with fallen flags from the 40’s,
50’s and so on. It is not uncommon to see a mixture of trains from Burlington Northern Santa
Fe, Union Pacific, Norfolk Southern, Canadian Pacific and Amtrak together with trains from
Denver Rio Grande & Western, Southern Pacific, Chicago & North Western, Missouri Pacific,
Wisconsin Central, Milwaukee Road, Pensylvania RR, Penn Central, Lehigh Valley, Erie
Lacka- wanna and Conrail.
